- Role summary: Support laboratory and clinical-translational research focused on human therapies and medical procedures, ensuring rigorous data collection, protocol adherence, and reproducible results.
- Key responsibilities: coordinate and perform bench and translational assays (cell culture, PCR, ELISA, histology) and sample processing; assist with protocol development and IRB submissions; collect, curate, and analyze clinical and laboratory data; prepare study documentation, SOPs, and technical reports; support biobanking, specimen tracking, and QC; collaborate with clinicians and study teams to integrate clinical procedures with research workflows; ensure biosafety, human-subjects protections, and regulatory compliance.
- Typical qualifications: BSc/BS in biology, biomedical sciences, or related field (MSc preferred for senior RA); hands-on lab experience in molecular/cellular techniques and working with clinical specimens; training in human-subjects research and biosafety.
- Core skills: strong technical lab skills, meticulous recordkeeping, familiarity with clinical terminology and procedures, basic biostatistics/data visualization (R, Python, or SPSS), effective communication, and teamwork.
