Identifying defects. Quality Control is a product-oriented role as one has to inspect, test, and measure the actual product to ensure it meets the specifications set by the Research and Development and Quality Assurance.
Job Summary:
The Quality Control Associate is responsible for the operation testing and inspection of raw materials, in-process goods, and finished products. A Quality Control Associate will determine whether a batch of product is good enough to ship to the customer or if it must be rejected, using specific tools and laboratory equipment to verify physical, chemical, or microbiological standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Testing: Conduct tests (e.g., physical, chemical, or mechanical) to ensure that the product meets the specified quality standards.
- Inspection: Visually inspect the product or perform automated inspection to detect defects.
- Data Analysis: Analyse testing results and product performance data to identify trends, defects, or inconsistencies.
- Corrective Actions: If defects are identified, determine the root cause and recommend solutions or corrective actions to improve product quality.
- Documentation: Record test results, issues found, and any corrective actions taken.
- Compliance Monitoring: Ensure that the product complies with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Job Requirements:
- Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Food Science, Food Technology, or any related field.
