Job Summary:

This role supports the upstream and downstream manufacturing of bacterial-based products. The associate will handle media preparation, fermentation, and aseptic processing of probiotic and functional bacteria, working under GMP-aligned conditions.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare and sterilize growth media and culture vessels.
• Perform inoculation and culture maintenance under aseptic conditions.
• Operate fermenters and bioreactors for batch or fed-batch fermentation.
• Execute harvesting, biomass concentration, and metabolite extraction.
• Maintain equipment logs, batch records, and cleaning schedules.
• Follow SOPs for aseptic technique and environmental monitoring.
• Travel to partner production sites may be required occasionally to support scale-up or tech transfer activities.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s in Microbiology, Biotech, Bioprocess, or related field.
• Experience in microbial culture or fermentation operations.
• Knowledge of aseptic technique and cleanroom behavior.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with Lactobacillus or spore-forming bacteria.
• Familiarity with centrifugation, concentration, and drying techniques.
• Understanding of biosafety level-2 operations.
