Role Overview
We’re building our A team and looking for a field-savvy Agronomist who can provide technical support and drive sales of our biostimulant products across key agricultural markets. You will be responsible for providing agronomic expertise, supporting field trials, engaging with farmers, and promoting the use of our amino acid biostimulants. As an Agronomist, you will combine your technical expertise with a commercial mindset to promote, sell, and support Synbiozymes’ biostimulant fertiliser. You’ll work closely with farmers, agri-retailers, and distributors to demonstrate product efficacy and scale adoption.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead product demonstrations and on-farm trials with farmers and cooperatives
- Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers, distributors, and agri-dealers
- Identify new sales opportunities and convert leads into customers
- Achieve sales targets and contribute to revenue growth in assigned territories
- Provide technical training and after-sales support to users
- Collect field performance data, customer feedback, and use insights to improve product messaging
- Represent Synbiozymes at field days, industry expos, and trade shows
Who We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Agronomy, Plant Science, Agricultural Science, or a related field
- Minimum 1-2 years experience in agronomy, field trials, and agri-input sales
- Proven track record in selling fertilizers, crop inputs, or biostimulants
- Goal-oriented and thrives on taking initiative to close sales and build customer relationships
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English
- Comfortable working independently and traveling regularly to farming sites
- Passion for sustainable agriculture and innovative biological solutions
Nice to Have (not required, but a plus!)
- Existing network of farmers, agri-retailers, or cooperatives
- Experience with crops like rice, chillies, oil palm, or vegetables
- Familiarity with government or extension programs (e.g., MADA, DOA, LPP)
- Background in startup, agri-tech, or fast-paced sales environments
- Knowledge of organic certification or bio-based input regulations
