At 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗱𝗻. 𝗕𝗵𝗱. (𝗖𝗖𝗘), we focus on microalgae cultivation, bioprocess development and sustainable bio-based solutions.

ROLE OVERVIEW
We are looking for highly motivated Laboratory Assistants to join our R&D and Lab team. This role offers a structured path for professional growth within a dynamic biotechnology environment.

EMPLOYMENT TERMS
– Initial 2-year contract
– Must be committed to a contract-based role
– Must be available for rotational shift work
– Must be willing to work weekends and/or public holidays when required

REQUIREMENTS
– Malaysian citizen
– Diploma or BSc in Biotechnology/Biosciences (Min. CGPA 3.50)
– Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply
– Knowledge of algal or bioprocess technology
– Hands-on experience in microalgal culture and microbiological techniques
– Good English and Bahasa Malaysia communication skills
– Proficient in Microsoft Office
– Valid driving license and own car
– Based in or willing to work in Semenyih and commercial site
– Willing to work rotational shifts, on-call, and public holidays
– Organized, results-oriented, and able to work with minimal supervision

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. TECHNICAL EXECUTION/ RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT
– Support R&D activities and upscaling projects
– Maintain algal cultures through subculturing, media preparation, and aseptic stock preservation
– Conduct routine process monitoring, sampling, and analysis
– Perform instrumental analysis and QC work

2. DATA MANAGEMENT & DOCUMENTATION
– Update SOPs, work instructions, and analysis specifications
– Record, organize, and analyze data using Excel, Google Sheets, and SPSS
– Maintain research logs and photographic records

3. LABORATORY OPERATIONS & MAINTENANCE
– Manage day-to-day laboratory workflow
– Operate, calibrate, and maintain instruments and field equipment
– Monitor inventory of raw materials, reagents, and consumables
– Maintain housekeeping and laboratory organization

4. LEADERSHIP & EXTERNAL ENGAGEMENT
– Guide interns and students
– Support exhibitions and conferences
– Assist supervisors with ad-hoc duties
