Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Agriculture Biotechnology Intern to join our team. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the agriculture biotechnology sector, contributing to projects that align with Malaysia’s National Bioeconomy Policy and other relevant policies and government initiatives. The intern will work closely with industry experts, researchers, and stakeholders to support initiatives aimed at advancing sustainable agricultural practices, improving crop productivity, and fostering innovation in the bioeconomy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct literature reviews and compile reports on emerging trends and technologies in agriculture biotechnology.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to organize workshops, seminars, and outreach programs.
• Assist in the preparation of technical documents, presentations, and proposals for stakeholders.
• Participate in monitoring and evaluating the progress of agriculture biotechnology projects.
• Perform administrative tasks as needed to support the smooth operation of the department.
• Any other tasks deemed relevant by the SVP or AVP of the department.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Biotechnology, Agriculture, Plant Science, Molecular Biology, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of agricultural systems, plant biology, and biotechnology techniques.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and draw meaningful conclusions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with data analysis tools is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Passion for sustainable agriculture, innovation, and the bioeconomy sector.
• Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is required.
