Scope/Purpose of Job/Job Responsibilities

To assist the CPPS team in study participant recruitment, data, including medical imaging data, and biospecimen collections, and any other relevant research study-related activities.

  • Assist in the recruitment of study subjects by performing pre-screening activities.
  • Responsible for conducting protocol specified activities including and not limited to scheduling and managing subject visit, administering questionnaire, handling and processing biospecimen and data collection.
  • Responsible for keeping track of the study participants screening and enrolment to ensure recruitment strategies are implemented effectively.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of all study documentation and query resolution.
  • Responsible for ensuring sufficient supply of study-related materials throughout the study.
  • Support the study team in submission and preparation of documentation for local IRB/EC.
  • Enter and manage data from completed questionnaires into data storage system (e.g. excel/redcap/access) with high accuracy.
  • Conduct retrieval of and manage database for medical images and related radiology reports from hospital servers and medical records.
  • Support CRMY to ensure that the research projects meet their defined objectives, budget and milestones.
  • Conduct all tasks as delegated by the Principal Investigator in accordance to the protocol, SOP and applicable guidelines.
  • Other responsibilities include:
  1. To represent the team and Cancer Research Malaysia when appropriate.
  2. To undertake other administrative tasks as required.

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Science (Biological/Biomedical) or a related medical field.
  • Knowledge in laboratory guidelines is essential to be able to adapt to the job requirement.
  • Have prior experience in research and/or clinical industries; experience in handling biospecimens and medical data would be a strong advantage.
  • Meticulous, detailed, well-organised and able to work independently to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Resourceful and able to multitask.
  • Adopts a pro-active attitude to work.
