Job Descriptions:

• Responsible in all research and development of products related matters.
• Development of new products/ services utilizing existing technology.
• Design, development and testing of new prototypes or new products or services involving new technology.
• Functional improvement of the current product/s being commercialised.
• Process improvement to increase yield and efficiency.
• Conducting laboratory tests to measure microbial activity during fermentation processes to ensure that the process is proceeding properly.
• Lead lab experiments for development and validation of automated workflows when appropriate.
• Preparing and maintaining fermentation procedures following standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Design and development of procedures for scaling-up of commercial production.
• Collaborating with production (and other support functions) to troubleshoot, identify and implement productivity improvements for the production process.
• Effectively organize, interpret, and present data to peers, cross functional teams, leadership, and colleagues.
• Efficacy and safety of product or treatment (ie medication, device, procedure or method) through clinical trials or validation process.
• To perform as hoc tasks assigned by superior from time to time.

Job Requirements:

• A master’s degree in life-science or biotechnology related field OR degree holder in life sciences or biotechnology-related field with 3 years relevant working experience in the biotechnology related industry.
• Ability to use internal and external sources to make technical scientific advances
• Proven ability to work in a laboratory.
• Knowledge and understanding of food science, microbiology and biotechnology
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills,
• It’s a great plus if you are especially familiar with fermentation.
