Job Overview:

The Product Development Specialist will play a key role in the creation, enhancement, and launch bird nest products. This position involves extensive market research, formulation development, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure products meet regulatory standards, customer expectations, and company objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Market Research: Conduct comprehensive market analysis to identify consumer trends, competitor products, and gaps in the market.
2. Product Formulation: Develop new product formulations, ensuring they meet nutritional, taste, and safety standards.
3. Ingredient Sourcing: Identify and source high-quality ingredients, managing supplier relationships to ensure consistency and compliance with industry standards.
4. Product Testing: Oversee sensory evaluations, stability testing, and nutritional analysis to ensure product quality and safety.
5. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all products comply with relevant food safety regulations and industry standards, including FDA, USDA, and other regulatory bodies.
6. Documentation: Maintain detailed records of formulations, testing results, and product specifications.
7. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with management, quality assurance, marketing, and production teams to bring new products to market.
8. Process Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities for improving product quality, process efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
9. Product Launch Support: Assist in developing marketing materials, product labels, and training resources for new product launches.
10. Customer Feedback: Gather and analyze customer feedback to inform product improvements and new product development.

Qualifications:

1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in food science, nutrition, chemistry, or a related field.
2. Experience: 3-5 years of experience in product development within the food and beverage or supplement industry.
3. Skills: Strong understanding of food science principles and dietary supplement formulation.
4. Knowledge of food safety regulations and quality assurance practices.
5. Excellent project management and organizational skills.
6. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
7. Proficiency in using formulation.
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Other Requirements:

  1. Familiarity with regulatory requirements for food and supplements.
  2. Ability to travel as needed for supplier visits, market research, and product launches.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Advanced degree in food science, nutrition, or a related field.
  2. Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) or food safety (e.g., HACCP).
  3. Experience with sensory evaluation and consumer testing methodologies
