Responsibilities:

• Research and Development:
  – Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and evaluate potential robotics and automation solutions for diverse agricultural applications
  – Explore and experiment with new technologies and algorithms for autonomous navigation, including SLAM
  – Continuously develop and improve existing robotics solutions for optimal performance
• Project Execution:
  – Lead and manage projects related to robotics and automation implementation.
  – Design, develop, and implement efficient and effective robotic systems for specific agricultural tasks
  – Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of robotics solutions
• Maintenance and Improvement:
  – Deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot robotics and automation systems to ensure optimal uptime and performance
  – Regularly analyze and evaluate system performance, identifying areas for improvement and optimization
  – Implement continuous improvements and updates to ensure ongoing effectiveness and scalability.

Requirements:

• Bsc, MSc. or Ph.D. in Robotics and Mechatronics, strong background in mechatronics, ROS and SLAM
• Proficiency in ROS and ROS II development, including familiarity with real-time robotics middleware
• Experience in developing and implementing SLAM-based solutions for autonomous navigation is essential for this position
• Understanding various sensors such as LiDAR, Cameras, IMU, Ultrasonic Sensors, GPS for autonomous navigation development
• Solid understanding of robot mechanics, electronics and programming. Experience in developing and integrating various robotic sensors and actuators
• Understanding of flight control systems and software programming for drones is a plus
• Proficient in programming and scripting skills (Python and R).
• Experience in deep learning framework such as TensorFlow or Keras.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, team player, resourceful and has strong analytical skills.
• Experience in collaborative research and thriving in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
• Good communication and written in English.
