Job Description:

• Carry-out commercial scale production and R&D plant tissue culture (TC) work
• Assist in supervising and monitoring  media production, introduction and propagation of plantlets
• Assist in preparing work schedule and implement timely solutions to matters concerning lab operations
• Maintain low levels of contamination (less than 5%) by regular inspection and by strictly adhering to the clean-room requirements and other SOPs
• Provide training to new industrial trainees
• Assist in preparing an overall  report that includes weekly production, contamination, attendance and sales
• Monitor the culture stock level and prepare a monthly stock report
• Maintain proper record of inventory and to inform management of timely procurements
• Assist in sourcing out information for research proposals or other activities related to the laboratory
• Conduct and lead R & D project/special project assigned and prepare reports pertaining to the projects
• To assist in weaning and nursery care of Kadamba.
• Carry out other tasks and responsibilities related to Tissue Culture work as recommended by the Supervisor.
