Research and Development are reasons why we’re among the best. We host a non exhaustive library of all important questions you’ve ever had about the Black Soldier Fly larvae. As the R&D Biology  you will work with the R&D Team to find out what works, and what doesn’t in insect farming. For example, which feed composition (texture, ingredients, nutritional value, microbe co-fermentation) best supports larvae development in their different stages? Analyse effects of environmental variables on operational metrics, like day-night cycles, atmospheric pressure, light spectrum, ventilation, emissions etc. You role as an R&D Biology will make meaningful research discoveries, Making Insects Work for You and the World.

Responsibilities:

• Design an experimental setup for your research project.
• Collect the data and derive reliable conclusions.
• Support and assist R&D team to plan, develop and execute R&D activities
• Assist in planning and developing the R&D pipeline and infrastructure, including potentially working with 3rd party research partners
• Maintain laboratory and lab equipment.

Requirements:

• Excellent written and spoken English: you’re a confident and concise communicator
• Able to think on your feet, inquisitive, curious, analytical and strong focus on evidence- and data-driven reasoning.
• Strong attention to detail high work standards and proactive can-do attitude.
• High interest in installing and maintaining industrial equipment, particularly mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic subsystems.
• Open to Malaysian students and fresh graduates. Own transportation is required.
• Students from Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Machining and similar fields are preferred (but not required).
