Job description:

We are seeking a Production Executive with a strong background in fermentation to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of production operations related to fermentation processes, including batch production, process optimization, quality control, and compliance. The ideal candidate will possess technical expertise in fermentation techniques, a hands-on
approach to production management, and a proven track record of driving operational excellence in a manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities:

1. Manage and coordinate all aspects of fermentation production, including planning, scheduling, and execution of batch production processes to meet production targets and customer demand.
2. Oversee fermentation operations, including fermentation vessel preparation, inoculation, monitoring fermentation parameters (e.g., temperature, pH), and troubleshooting process issues to ensure optimal fermentation performance and product quality.
3. Coordinate order fulfillment activities, including order processing, picking, packing, and shipping, to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to customers. This is also including inventory management, stock replenishment, and cycle counting, to maintain optimal inventory levels and minimize stockouts and overstock situations.
4. Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs), protocols, and best practices for fermentation processes to ensure consistency, efficiency, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
5. Monitor and analyse production performance metrics, fermentation yields, and product quality data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for cost savings or process optimization.
6. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards (e.g., MeSTI, Halal), and environmental health and safety regulations in all fermentation operations.
7. Manage relationships with suppliers, contractors, and service providers to ensure timely delivery of raw materials, equipment, and maintenance services to support production operations.
8. Participate in cross-functional teams and meetings to drive continuous improvement initiatives, troubleshoot production issues, and implement corrective actions to address root causes.
9. Stay updated on industry trends, advances in fermentation technology, and best practices in production management to drive innovation and maintain competitiveness.
10. Perform any other job-related tasks or projects as assigned by the superior.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biochemistry, Fermentation Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
2. Strong technical expertise in fermentation techniques, with hands-on experience in fermentation process.
3. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate teams, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
4. Proficiency in GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), SOP development, and quality management systems.
5. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to analyse data, identify root causes of production issues, and implement corrective actions.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and results-oriented approach to production management
