Job description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Supply Chain Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end supply chain process, from procurement and inventory management to logistics and distribution. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a strategic mindset, and have strong interest of optimizing supply chain operations to meet business objectives.

Key responsibilities:

1. Coordinate procurement activities, including sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services.
2. Monitor inventory levels and demand forecasts to optimize inventory management, minimize stockouts and excess inventory, and ensure adequate supply to meet customer demand.
3. Collaborate with internal teams, including production, sales, and finance, to develop and implement supply chain strategies and plans that align with business goals and objectives.
4. Oversee logistics and transportation activities, including shipping, receiving, and warehousing, to ensure efficient and timely delivery of products to customers and distribution centres.
5. Analyse supply chain data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement, and develop actionable insights and recommendations to optimize supply chain processes and performance.
6. Implement and maintain supply chain systems and technologies, such as enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, inventory management software, and transportation management systems, to support efficient and effective operations.
7. Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PLs), carriers, and freight forwarders to ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs) and performance expectations.
8. Continuously monitor and evaluate supplier performance, quality, and reliability, and take corrective actions as needed to mitigate risks and maintain a high level of service and product quality.
9. Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in supply chain management and logistics to drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.
10. Perform any other job-related tasks or projects as assigned by the superior.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
2. Proven experience in supply chain management, logistics, or a related role, with a strong understanding of supply chain principles, processes, and best practices.
3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse complex data, draw insights, and make data-driven decisions to optimize supply chain performance.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and external partners.
5. Proficiency in supply chain management systems and software, such as ERP systems, inventory management software, and transportation management systems.
6. Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
7. Attention to detail and accuracy, with a focus on ensuring quality, compliance, and reliability throughout the supply chain process.
