Responsibilities:
1. Development of New Products
• To carry out literature search and to evaluate different source of raw material
• To formulate new products in various dosage forms at laboratory scale and to establish critical process parameters and the final product specification
• To scale up formulations and arrange to provide data for product registration
• To evaluate and monitor the stability data of new products by liaising with R&D Chemist
• To check into packaging, machinery and environmental requirements for new products
• To arrange to conduct relevant product efficacy testing E.g.: sensory evaluation, clinical and bioequivalence study
2. Improvement on Existing Products
• To identity and trouble shoot problems in manufacturing process and optimize manufacturing procedures
• To modify and improve existing product formulations to meet new requirements and bioequivalence
• To trouble shoot stability problem products
3. Product development work collaboration with relevant departments
• To provide product information/development reports to RA personnel during process of product registration
• To coordinate with QC personnel on analysis of products
• To coordinate with Supply Chain department on raw material procurement/sourcing
• To coordinate with Production Executives for the preparation of scale up and trial run
• To coordinate with QA/QC and other relevant departments for validation of new products
• To provide technical assistance to Production, QA/QC, RA, Sales & Marketing departments when necessary
4. Responsible in technology transfer of new products to customers
• Responsible in handling technical knowledge of new product and any special requirements during process validation will be shared to ensure successful manufacturing of all upcoming batches
Requirements:
• Minimum degree holder in Pharmacy and a registered Pharmacist with Pharmacy Board of Malaysia. Preferably with working experience in relevant fields.
• Experience in a cGMP Pharmaceutical Production environment is a plus.
• Required skill(s): Communication skills (both verbal & written), Problem-solving skill with positive attitude
• Able to work with people from different levels with sound leadership capabilities.
• Strong ability to multi-task, able to deliver results with accuracy and efficiency.
