We are looking for a Farm Assistant who will be part of the Sunway XFarms core team and will be assisting in operations of hydroponics smart farming system. Key Responsibilities:

• To assist Agronomist in urban farms’ daily works which include germination of new seedlings, transplanting, plant health monitoring, harvesting, packing and hydroponic system maintenance.
• To ensure that farm sanitization and cleanliness is kept up to standard at all times
• To assist in recording and data capturing for farm production activities
• To adhere to farm SOPs, food safety requirements, good safety standards and requirements of MyGap Certification.
• Assist in farm R&D activities to continuously improve farm system and grow new varieties.

We are looking for candidates who are:

• An education background in agronomy, agriculture or related field is desired
• Able to converse in spoken and written English
• Responsible and hardworking, attentive to detail.
• Able to commute to the farms and work flexible hours when needed
• Self-motivated who can work with minimal supervision while contributing in a team environment
• Attentive to detail, passionate in farming, enjoy learning new things and thinks innovatively
